Enid Blyton is one of the most famous children’s authors of all time, her books are the 5th most translated ever.
When I was younger I read most of her books and can say that with christmas coming they are the perfect gift for every child.
With the choice ranging from mystery stories like The Secret Seven or The Famous Five to a great series of books called Malory Towers which is set in a girls boarding school there is something for everyone.
My personal favorite is The Magic Far Away Tree
When three children move to a new house, they find an Enchanted Wood is on their doorstep. And they then discover the Faraway Tree, it is the beginning of many magical adventures! there are great characters such as Moonface, Saucepan Man and Silky the fairy, all the characters are so real and exciting that you just get carried away into the magic of the story.
If your children liked Harry Potter then introduce them to Enid Blytons books, they are enchanting books for all children and adults who want a trip back to their childhood.
The combination of magic and adventure are just the sort of things that children really want to hear about, (like The Magic Far Away Tree), creates a winning combination for every generation.
Enid Blyton is loved by millions of people all over the world for creating magical worlds in her books were for just a while you can simply just lose yourself in the magic and adventure of the story.
