What Happened to Books?

Ever since the first movie came out, books have slowly become less popular. The moment you can actually watch what you’re reading, it changed everything. No more boring nights trying to figure out who killed who for what girl and why, just wait an hour or so and you’ll see firsthand. The reason why this is is because the more up to date movies and technology has become the less interested the reader is to read. Books are still being published, and they probably always will. However, if you’ve ever been to a books website you’ll notice that you can no longer just buy a book. You can no longer just see what’s for sale. You can download a sample of the book, to see if you’ll like it. With everything going to.com you never know what to expect.

E-mail was the first of its kind. Before long even banks were doing paperless billing and paperless statements and paperless this and that. Now you can even do paperless books. E-books are what publishers are really trying to get the writers to use. Eventually you won’t see books like, To Kill A Mockingbird in stores anymore. You’ll have to go online, and push buy e-book, To Kill A Mockingbird. With e-books and everything else becoming electrical, the world too will be worrying more about who, what, when, where, and why by reading them online. Some libraries are even beginning to do the same concept. You’ll be able to check out a book, via download, and never worry about returning it. Late fees is what libraries pay the bills on, but if they can charge a 1 time monthly fee to check out as many books as you want up to a curtain amount, they’ll make a killing. The library might still have some copies in print but for the most part, you might be looking at your next Netflicks for books.
