Book Review - Unless You Become As a Little Child by Joan Galli

An Encounter with the Holy Spirit – A Journey in Renewal

Joan Galli’s writing resonates with the sweet presence of the Lord. Joan shares stories of divine encounters with the Holy Spirit as they were experienced by members of the Love and Praise Prayer group who met weekly in her home. “Unless You Become As a Little Child” is absorbing, uplifting, and an exciting example of spiritual renewal.

Joan turns everyday incidents, family relationships, spiritual longings, and healing experiences, and relates how prayer and direct obedience to the Lord are addressed in the Bible. I was moved and challenged as I considered story after story and allowed the Holy Spirit to speak to my own heart of the promised blessing of submission to His direct leading.

Blessed with a heritage of Catholic tradition, including Trappist monks, Mercy nuns, and a Franciscan priest, Joan tells of growing up in a God honoring home, of the prayer and commitment of her parents. Joan still felt a deep longing for “something more” in here religious experiences and relates her own discovery of the baptism known as the baptism of the Holy Spirit. An additional result of this encounter was an outgrowth of a ministry of prayer and Holy Spirit teaching. She tells of revelations and miraculous “God Moments” which were a direct result of the anointing touch of God’s spirit on her life.

Biblically sound, Charismatic in emphasis, expressive in presentation “Unless You Become As a Little Child” resounds with the message of spiritual renewal that “something more” the result of an encounter with God’s Holy Spirit.
