If You Do Not Manage Your Time, it Will Manage You

Audiobooks at audible.com.

Have you ever heard someone say that there’s just not enough time in the day? Boy, I have and I often wonder what they’re talking about, as I always have enough time to get everything done in a day that I plan.

Of course, I’m very good with time management skills because I read a lot of book on the subject. Sometimes we need to learn from others rather than trying to do everything ourselves the hard way. Did you know there are people who do time management consulting for executives, parents, politicians and personalities?

In fact, when things get so busy that they cannot handle their lives, they actually hire people who do nothing except for scheduling their appointments and helping them efficiently use their time. You have heard the saying; “most people trade their time for money,” well, this is what most people do who have a job.

Wealthy folks and executives do the opposite; they pay money to get back more time. Still, no matter which way you are trying to improve your time management situation, it will be a challenge, whether you are trading your time for money or spending money to get more time.

What I would like to do is to recommend a very good book to you. One, that will help you use your time more effectively and give you some practical pointers in managing your own time. You need to read this book; it’s about time:

“Managing Your Time; Practical Guidelines on the Effective Use of Time” by Ted W. Engstrom and R. Alec Mackenzie; Zondervan Publishing; Grand Rapids Michigan, 1967.

A subtitle is included on the book, which just about sums it all up; “An invaluable and inspiring program for making the most of your lifetime’s every minute.” And after reading this book from cover to cover, I could not agree more and it was definitely worth the time.
